This blog is an attempt to document the process of songwriting, so that I and you, if you are a composer, will be able to write things better and quicker.
Lets see where this will go as we explore creativity....

Me? I sweat it out, most of the time refusing to use anything but my own. There are, of course, the occasions when I use a loop underneath my glorious creative beast of a beat (ppptthfff!!), but all in all, I make sure I am being 100% original. Sometimes I handwrite DR:REX loops in the Reason sequencer using the beat samples as drum samples (works pretty spiff most of the time).
I'll get back to this later with more ramblings - gotta go now.
Yaaagg! OK, I am a wimp then. So you are sequencing them in RedRum? I was using that for awhile, and its a great drum sequencer. I have been trying to use the one in the XL7 and its great but its not as easy IMHO as the Reason one.
I will look forward to whatever other comments on how the song is sounding now.
Thx!

Oh yeah, about the song. That beat is good! But, the hihat work still needs more consistency. I like the hihat samples, tho!
