When This Is Over I'll Let Sleep Open The Door

Wild, wild, wild yoo-oo-th...

There have been very few times where I have been awake for 30 hours straight. Yesterday was one of them. Travelling back over the International Date Line is always fun because you get to live an entire day over again. I got up at 7:30 am in Tokyo, got on a plane at 5:30 pm then arrived home at 12 noon the same day and stayed up until 11:00 pm, the same day. That adds up to about 30 hours.

For me, this method seemed to work for fighting jet lag as I ended up working nearly 12 hours today. Driving home with the stereo blasting Generation X's "Wild Youth" made me drive fast and take chances (even though I was drowsy). As I hit 90 MPH on Freeway 85 with Billy Idol squalling in the background, I felt alive, man. There's no kick like this at this point in time that could be better.
